KEY BENEFITS

E

Your data is backed up continously and application aware. Failover can be almost immediate thus allowing your business to continue running as applications, servers or entire buildings are brought back on line.

E

DR-as-a-Service delivers an enterprise DR plan at a fraction of the cost on a pay-as-you-go model. Lower your cost of power, cooling, hardware, software licensing and management

E

Management of the off-premise / Cloud environment is handled for you.

SERVICES INCLUDED

E

Data is backed up and encrypted locally before being physically sent to the co-location site and uploaded. Changed data will be encrypted and sent over a secure VPN thereafter, ensuring data integrity.

E

Data security through a firewall managed 24×7 both at your site and at the co-location facility along with encryption before your data is transmitted to the co-location site. Encryption can also be implemented throughout your environment all the way to servers and end-points.

DISASTER RECOVERY AS A SERVICE

Disaster Recovery as a Service, is a category of cloud computing where cloud computing is used for the purpose of protecting an application or data from a natural or human disaster or service disruption at one location by enabling a full recovery in the cloud. DRaaS differs from cloud based backup services by protecting data and providing standby computing capacity on demand to facilitate more rapid application recovery. DRaaS capacity is delivered in a cloud computing model so recovery resources are only paid for when they are used making it more efficient than a traditional disaster recovery warm site or hot site where the recovery resources must be running at all times.

The term “Disaster Recovery as a service” (DRaaS) is considered to be part of the nomenclature of cloud computing, along with infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS).

DRaaS architectural models vary depending on the location of the primary or source production application or data.

E

To Cloud DRaaS: To cloud recovery is when the source application is in theusers primary private datacenter and the cloud is being used as a backup or recovery target.

E

In Cloud DRaaS: In cloud recovery is when both the source and recovery sites are in the cloud.

E

From Cloud DRaaS: From cloud recovery is when the primary or production application or data is in the cloud and the backup or recovery target site is a private datacenter. This solution is becoming more popular where the existing infrastructure at the primary site may be nearing end of life.
